Priyantha Ranaweera, MD, MHCM, FRACP, FACC, is a Harvard-trained interventional cardiologist with extensive training in peripheral and coronary interventions.

He has received training worldwide, including completing fellowships in internal medicine, general cardiology and CT coronary angiography in Germany, New Zealand and Australia.

He came to Manhattan as the medical director of cardiology at Mercy Regional Health Center where he led the cardiac catheterization program and the acute myocardial infarction intervention program.

 

Dr. Ranaweera enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He shows a keen interest in sports and loves to travel. He has been to every continent except Africa and Antarctica.
